Dogbarn

When they can't go with, we're here.

At Dogbarn, we do more than provide pet care - we care about your pet just as we care about our own. We provide a unique atmosphere situated on 21 acres for overnight dog, cat, and horse boarding as well as day drop-off / doggie daycare.

Get to Know Us

Welcome to Dogbarn, a full-service pet resort conveniently located northeast of Billings.

In 2018, we dreamed of leaving the humdrum of corporate employment to run a business that would give back to the community by providing top-notch pet care to our beloved four-legged family members – dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, cows, and more! Having grown up in small towns, we know the importance of community and are excited to serve your family.

Our dream came true when in May of 2020, we purchased the land that Dogbarn sits on today. We value quality pet care over becoming the biggest kennel in the area. Because of our smaller size, we can provide our four-legged guests more attention through personalized walks, grooming, and care for animals with special needs like old age or medical issues. We provide more pets per dog!

Over the years, we have built strong bonds with our animals and community. We took years of obedience and agility classes, taught dog obedience, took equestrian instruction, and volunteered and taught for a therapeutic horseback riding program for over 20 years. As we grow Dogbarn, we look forward to adding new enrichment based activities and continue giving back to our local community.

In addition to our day to day activities, giving back to animal rescue is part of our lifeblood. We have fostered several horses and adopted feline friends, but our true passion is dog rescue. We have helped puppy mill/auction dogs, dogs with behavioral and social issues, dogs with medical issues, and hospice dogs. We finally had a foster fail (adoption) with foster #14. Saylor, a hospice golden retriever from a puppy mill, had a litter of puppies in our home. Sadly two of the four were stillborn, and Saylor passed away a couple of months later due to renal failure at only 2 years of age. Her memory lives on at Dogbarn because we adopted one of her pups named Pickles, whom you’ll meet when you bring your furry friends.

Our pup Wibaux passed shortly before opening, but her spirit along with all of our other best friends lives on with us.

After a year of offering in-home pet and hobby farm services, our facility is now complete!  We appreciate every trades worker that worked on our facility, inside and out to get us up and running.  We are excited to continue to care for previous pets and look forward to warmly welcoming our new guests to our cozy and clean facility!

Warmly,

Shellie and Kevin Kremers
